Sometimes an abandoned nest is found in the hedges or the woodpile, a complicated mass of moss, feathers, twigs and fluff. I really enjoyed the challenge of depicting all this wonderful weaving in watercolour and I love incorporating collage into my paintings wherever I can, this is a page from an old childrens encyclopaedia.
